We run a number of seminars and workshops. Although we generally customise them to
suit the individuals needs below are a number of the more popular ones to give you an
idea of what we cover.

Workshops can be arranged for your club, practice or organisation and conducted at your
location. A nice alternative for clients or staff training.

UNDERSTANDING THE SCIENCE – A broad overview of operant conditioning and how to
apply it in practical everyday training programs. This seminar is designed as a broad
overview of concepts and exposes the attendee to all the tools needed to successfully train.
This course can be designed as a basic introduction to the beginner or a broad overview
for all levels of trainers or professionals. (3 - 8 hours depending on detail)

HUSBANDRY TRAINING – This seminar looks at the keys to developing a good medical training program for any animal. It includes targeting strategies, desensitisation techniques, and basic concepts needed to gain an animal’s trust and develop reliable medical care behaviors. This seminar can be a short overview or a detailed how-to seminar. Ideal for vet practices, groomers or individuals experiencing handling problems. LETS TALK DOG - Living with another species is tough, for you and for them. This seminar looks at how dogs communicate with us and each other. Understanding what they are saying is a good start in understanding them. detailed analysis of canine communication, stress signals and the effect stress has on the animal. (3 - 5 hours depending on detail)

GRUMPY DOGS - A popular workshop that looks at aggression toward other dogs. An overview of aggressive behaviour, temperament types, body language and communication skills. The
workshop has a practical elemnt to it and will expose the attendee to desensatisation
techniques. We do not flood the dogs so don't expect to see reactive displays.
(10 - 16 hours over 2 days)

CLICKER WORKSHOPS - A look at how this wonderful training tool works. We explore the science
 and bring it to life with games that make it easy to understand. This will add real power to your
training and help you problem solve training short falls. Workshops can be tailored to look at
specific elements or to give an overall picture.
(2 - 16 hours dependant on detail [over 1 or 2 days])

TRAINING THE TRAINERS - Ideas for staff training and setting up programmes to develop their training skills and handling of the animals.
